Before Inner Mission, I always felt that he could be compared with "Forrest Gump", or even higher than him, because in addition to the belief that "nothing is written" that everything is possible, there is also the use of scene descriptions ( I even feel that if the box office of this movie was not high, I would be sorry for the hard work of the crew), as well as the accurate description of the primitive and greedy people. But after Inner Mission, I realized that the film has further connotations - war, and politics. It made Lawrence doubt himself, never hurt to hurt. I once suspected that I was watching the abridged version, because it was so different. Even according to the logic in the movie, as far as I understand it, it was still so different, as if Lawrence's freedom took him away with him. But when I saw the end, I realized how big the instant and subtle influence of the war was, so big that he thought that the best way to end the war was victory. He won, but the game is still not over. The end of the war is not in the hands of soldiers, not in the hands of generals, but in the hands of politicians, what an ironic and powerless thing. What I like the most is the scene where Lawrence goes to rescue the lonely man, and the scene where he meets the young man after returning, the motion camera still advances, the dynamic brought by the panorama, and the beauty of the desert, it is lifelike. I know Lawrence is home, and I know that Liberty followed him home, because the director said that Liberty will never appear on the battlefield.
