Confession

After reading it, I saw that it was shot in 1962, which reminded me of 2001: A Space Odyssey. The production design of both films is very impressive. Photography out of 10 with six to seven credits to the art direction. The uninhabited 2d desert is so layered. All the scenes are also very shocking and not obtrusive at all, all the scenes are auxiliary to the story but at the same time the scenes are so extra. The art’s control of clothing is also a highlight. Although it may be that the Arabian clothing itself is very distinctive, the main color and auxiliary colors are very beautiful, and all the colors are displayed so beautifully. Although I don't know exactly why the film shows such perfect color and skin tones. I really feel that the photography of this film cannot be shot with any contemporary film camera. I have always believed that the whole industry is moving forward, and the advantages of digital are far greater than the sense of age and so-called grain that film brings us. But this film can only fully show this production design on film.

Dressed in a holy robe, he led his followers out of the crowded military uniforms, like Moses leading the congregation to separate the Red Sea. Everything is lonely, everything is beyond language, and do you guess that the prophet will have a moment of commitment to nothingness. Big screen, a dream.

Unexpectedly not good-looking // 2020.8.25 re-watch. Big scene, need big screen, high-definition cooperation, good picture quality, general plot
