Captain Jack started out as a playful but righteous pirate, but in this episode those traits are just gags.

If the captain of this part is replaced by passers-by A, B, C, it seems to be fine. Jack did not contribute wisdom or laughs. His alcoholism was more serious than before, and he also gave his opponent a lot of assists.
