It's a fairly decent fairy tale reinterpretation movie, and there are no major flaws.
1. The movie is based on the fairy tale Snow White. This fairy tale is no stranger to men, women and children. This is a plus for this video.
2. The emotional line is very confusing, even confusing. This is also the biggest problem with the film.
①The first 20 minutes of the film can be said to be quite good. It expresses the cruelty and sinister intentions of the queen in a concise manner, as well as the deep affection between her and her brother.
②Until the story line of the hunter is drawn, the film as a whole remains above the standard.
③After the appearance of the seven dwarves, the storyline began to collapse. This includes the elf's sudden goodwill and great affinity for Snow White, the childhood sweetheart William's combat effectiveness is superior to the whole story, and so on. The content of the story seems particularly rushed from here, with very little foreshadowing.
④The most incredible thing in the film is why the hunter kissed Snow White and Snow White woke up. And William, who has been in love with Snow White since childhood, also kissed the princess before, but did not wake her up. The film has spent a lot of space to express the hunter's longing and admiration for his deceased wife, and also describes the sincere feelings of William and Snow White. Only the relationship between Hunter and Snow White has little ink, or there is a disconnect. So when the hunter wakes up Snow White with a kiss, the whole story gets really weird and irrational. Because, even if you don't consider things like feelings, in the storytelling, the hunter is just a bodyguard of Snow White. So when I saw this scene, I naturally had the feeling of "what the hell is this".
3. In the depiction of some big scenes, the feeling is only to the point, such as the depiction of the elf forest, and the depiction of the last army attacking the castle and so on. I want to complain here. Due to the excessive force of the hunter and William, the film can only rely on the queen to summon monsters similar to Marvel's venom to compete with it. It's a pity, but this is a 2012 movie after all.
4. In short, this is a movie that makes the audience feel very strange. Although the name is Snow White, the person who maintains the entire film and story is the queen. Only the queen played by Theron in the whole film is normal in terms of performance, story lines, emotions, etc. Other characters have more or less problems with lines, unclear motives, and feelings. As for Chris Hemsworth's character as a hunter, it feels superfluous from beginning to end, and it's still the image of a simple-minded, well-developed gangster. It seems that he is still not out of the circle of playing Thor.
