It can't be said that "Angels and Demons" was poorly shot, but the director was a little too anxious to express his intentions, and it was too easy to be seen through. After watching it for half an hour, I guessed who was the main messenger behind the scenes. His eyes, lines, and behavior all told me that he did all this. For the next hour or so, I just waited for his sins to show up, and I lost the expectations and doubts at the beginning of the film.
Like The Da Vinci Code, this is still a film about religious ethics. A large number of religious terms, religious buildings, sculptures, symbols and rituals are piled up in the film to form a sufficiently gorgeous and mysterious image. And science, in the film, plays a redemptive role in religion. At the end of the film, the cardinal tells Tom Hanks that God sent you, and Hanks is speechless because he can't say it clearly himself. The character of the conspirator in the film is a character full of contradictions. He devoutly serves God, but tries to use extreme means to maintain the glory of God. Ends and means have always been controversial topics in the human world, even in the religious world.
Still, the film is worth watching. At least the theme of the film is still very attractive, science and religion, until now, no one can conquer anyone, the film vaguely gave some answers.
