no worst death

. . All right. . A little contempt at first. . . Stuck in the supermarket again. . Another monster. . . It's like watching "Dawn of the Living Dead" and "Split". . one before it. . One after it. .
The common denominator is being trapped. . unknown death. . escape. . The protagonists all said, "I'd rather die outside than be trapped here." . But the ending is completely different. .

The ending of The Mist is shocking. . . Humanity is involved. . = = Maybe the protagonist wants to face the worst death by himself. . But is death the worst?
Little irony. . finally. . He might be overwhelmed. . But is his hope still there?
Notice the ending screen. . There was a woman on the rescue vehicle who was the first to leave the supermarket and said she was going to find her daughter. . She protected her important people in his way. .

Maybe courage can keep people alive. . Just the courage of the protagonist. . Just let yourself survive. . . Just the heart will die. . .

The worst death is. . . . The people I wanted to protect are gone. . .

Why must there be a review option?
Can't just express opinions. Actually, I'm not sure what I should rate this movie. . . = =

The Mist quotes

  • Wayne Jessup: I heard stuff.

    Mrs. Carmody: Stuff...

Wayne Jessup: Yeah, we all heard stuff! Like uh, how they... they thought that there were other dimensions. You know, other... other worlds all around us, and how they wanted to try to make a window, you know, so they can look through and see what's on the other side.

Mrs. Carmody: Well maybe your window turned out to be a door. Isn't it?

Wayne Jessup: Not my door! It's the scientists!

Mrs. Carmody: [sarcastically] Oh, the scientists.

Wayne Jessup: Yes, the scientists! They must've ripped a hole through by accident. That's how their world keeps on spilling through into ours. That's what Donaldson was saying right before he killed himself. I didn't understand half of it.

  • Dan Miller: [after the car runs out of gas] Well, we gave it a good shot. Nobody can say we didn't.
