When watching American gangster movies, there is often a feeling that it is not enjoyable enough. Perhaps Hong Kong's gangster films are preconceived, and they always feel that gangster films are the kind of fast-paced films that are difficult to get into the halls of elegance. But "The Godfather," "L.A. Confidential," and this "Truthful Traitor" are all slow-paced films that are impatient and really hard to watch.
But when you watch it carefully, you will feel that the aftertaste is endless, not relying on the fast pace of the plot, not relying on the watermelon knife of the young and the dangerous, but relying on superb acting skills and in-depth excavation of human nature. In this regard, To Qifeng and Lin Chaoxian of Hong Kong have done a good job.
