lion king in the night

"Donnie Blasco," a Depp and Pacino film, wasn't a success. But this is starring two of my beloved American men, and perhaps because of that, my hopes are too high. In fact they didn't disappoint me too much, at least, Al Pacino, didn't.
"If, say, if Hollywood becomes a stage and the time goes back to the Renaissance, how many idol stars will go to pieces?"
Reading this text in the cold, time instantly warmed up.
"Guarding the handsome flag of the movie will be a short, sharp-eyed man. He looks like a sculpture that came down from Michelangelo's scratch paper, sloppy but arrogant. He is standing with a cigar in his mouth. Looking melancholy into the distance in the sun, he asked us coldly, . . ., what happened to the world?
This is the voice of the godfather. This voice will make the sun gloomy. Then he sits in a dark corner. The darkness begins to speak "
There is a neurotic despair and genius hysteria in him, which makes him interpret the darkness and the light directly to the heart. But why Marlon Brando and Robert De Niro were not able to move me so deeply, maybe, I think it was his eyes. I often avoid Pacino's gaze, a gray that makes me poignant, where there is the weight of a father, the warmth of a husband and the coldness of a lover. Each of his roles is unforgettable to me, from "Scent of a Woman", "Pirates of Fire" to "Insomnia". As soon as he came out, night fell, or, as he stood there, he was night.
In Donny Blasco, I was still moved: Left turned around hesitantly, 'If, if Donny calls, tell him, if there's that guy (referring to the mole), I'm glad it was him. 'One by one, he took off all the valuables: watches, wallets, pendants, rings. Fearing that the woman would not be able to see them, he carefully opened the drawer to a gap. Then, slowly, toward an uncertain life and death. This was arranged for Pacino, whose sense of family was so deep that no matter what scene he disappeared in, it was a blizzard.
In 2003, Pacino, 63, topped the list of the greatest movie stars voted by British audiences. His lightning flashes make people forget his age, in fact, he is the kind of person who is allowed to grow old. In Downey, the mafia boss played by Michael Madson presents Pacino with a lion, and he points to the gift and says: I think it kind of looks like you. The beleaguered Beastmaster and the heroic Pacino are somewhat alike, but in reality they are closer: dignity, loneliness, bravery, madness, and innate, deep-rooted pride.
Haven't seen his famous "Godfather" so far. It was like a return visit against a person's footsteps, from the solemn late autumn to the clear early summer. I wanted to touch his golden years at the right time.

Donnie Brasco quotes

  • Lefty: [sees the front page of a newspaper documenting another crime boss was murdered, to Donnie while in his car] I never hear from my boss until he dies, then my whole life gets turned upside down!

  • Donnie Brasco: [to Maggie in their garage] If I come out alive, this guy, Lefty, ends up dead. That's the same thing as me putting the bullet in his head myself.
