"Hidden": Rough talk about doubts

After watching the movie, there are still things I don't understand.

When did the protagonist get possessed? Was he possessed after he was 8 years old, or did he fall and lose his body at the end of the film? The plot in the film seems to provide some evidence for both possibilities. After reading many comments, I have always struggled with this question. Even if the plot in the film is sorted out again, an accurate answer cannot be obtained. In fact, it may also be a bug, but for such a high-quality film, I still prefer to believe that it is because of my limited level that I can't figure it out.

As for the protagonist's son, I guess he has been possessed. At the end of the film, when the son is about to return to his own body, there is no obvious action on the camera to make us believe that the son has returned to the body. From the subsequent episodes, I think he has been possessed. Otherwise, how can it be worthy of this gloomy poster.

It is rumored that there will be a second part, too, and leaving so many questions to pat on the butt and leave is not kind. In addition, there are still many problems and plots that cannot be explained, and there is still the possibility of future development. There is no other way but to look forward to it. The director and screenwriter are both chainsaw people, so it's no wonder there's a bit of a chainsaw style.

This is a horror movie you need to watch carefully.

  • Dr. Sercarz: [about Dalton] There is no brain damage that we've detected. Technically, yes, he's in a coma. He doesn't react to stimuli. He has no sleep-wake cycle. But there's no brain trauma or infection. His scans are all normal. To be honest, I've never seen anything like it.
