Social and political science fiction film "The Postman"

I really like this kind of film because my major is sociology.

Just as the path of technological development, cross-species and cross-civilization communication, technological innovation diffusion, and animal sociology (social biology) should become important research issues in future sociology, the reconstruction after the destruction of civilization should definitely be one of the research topics in future sociology. Because the existence of human beings and even the entire earth's biosphere is a very accidental phenomenon, and the destruction of civilization is the norm in human history.

After the destruction of civilization, how to use the knowledge in the remaining libraries to choose the appropriate and fastest path of technological development? How to get rid of despotism?

Our interest in this may originally come from the science fiction of deserted islands such as "Robinson Crusoe".

In fact, it is still a great subject matter, the details are not handled well, there is no content, the preaching is too heavy, and it is not good for dancing with wolves.

Facts have proved that "Dancing With Wolves" is just an accident. Kevin Coster is a mediocrity. His subsequent works are all filmed in the mold of "Dancing With Wolves", "Future Water World" and "The Postman", lengthy and trivial, editing It's blunt, with abrupt turns, the protagonists are all savior-like characters, and the sensational passages give people goosebumps, which makes me feel embarrassed as someone who is used to the theme of the main theme. A salesman became a hero in the last days? A postman unites people's hearts by himself? The story will not dare to write like this!

The Postman quotes

  • The Postman: Uh... Strangers... I hate this. Do they want to share what they got or take what you got? Do you say 'hi' or do you blow them away?

  • [the Postman is performing Shakespeare]

The Postman: It's a tale told by...

Piano Player: [prompting him] An idiot.

The Postman: ...by a moron! Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
