later generations mourn

Later generations mourn and fail to learn from it, so history is always strikingly similar.

Humans always feel one step behind in dealing with infectious diseases. When the virus is discovered, people are afraid of panic or affect the economy. With the exponential spread of infectious diseases, the epidemic deteriorated rapidly, and it was only announced to the public when it was really impossible to hide it, and then countermeasures were taken, such as closing the city and publicizing the prevention and control of the epidemic. If the public is informed as soon as the epidemic is discovered, and the public is asked to strengthen their personal protection, the epidemic will definitely be brought under control quickly. The truth makes the masses panic, and lies can only delay the panic of the masses, and what should come will still come.

Take history as a mirror, don't always heal the scar and forget the pain. The history of infectious diseases is not always so similar. Hope the 2020 novel coronavirus epidemic will pass soon.

  • Dr. Ellis Cheever: We're working very hard to find out where this virus came from. To treat it and to vaccinate against it if we can. We don't know all of that yet, we just don't know. What we do know, is that in order to become sick you have to first come in contact with a sick person or something that they touched. In order to get scared, all you have to do is to come in contact with a rumor, or the television or the internet. I think what Mr. Krumwiede is uh... is spreading, is far more dangerous than the disease.
