Moana is a non-classic princess movie.
Disney's classic princess series has to respect the original works, and to a certain extent, the creation is very limited, but the new works are drawn from cultural resources around the world, and the story is more attractive.
As the daughter of the patriarch, Moana was indoctrinated by the current patriarch, her father, to be content with her responsibilities and take care of her own people so that her tribe can live long and peacefully.
Grandma, indeed, was the naysayer who supported her idea of going out and breaking in. Dad didn't allow her to go out to sea in a boat, because he wanted to go out to sea when he was young, and he went out to sea from a distance. After going out to sea with his good friend once, his good friend never came back. Therefore, there is a rule in the clan that it is not allowed to go out to sea far beyond the reefs.
Moana gradually grew up, and when everyone felt that she was ready to be the next team leader, the resources on the island seemed to be getting less and less, and the fish in the coastal waters were close to disappearing. Grandma told her that it was the Heart of Life Source that was taken away by Maui. The dark forces gradually expanded and absorbed the life force they could encounter. Only by finding Maui and putting the Heart of Life Source back could their homeland be saved.
Moana set out to find it. She is the one chosen by the ocean, and she must complete her mission. Without a princess dress, Moana's persistence, bravery and awareness of the world set her apart from other classic princess images.
He found Maui by accident, but he was a god who didn't look like a god.
In order to put the Stone of Life back, Moana tries to get to know Maui and try to convince him. The two have reached an alliance for their own purposes. On the way, Moana learned from Maui to sail a boat, observe the stars, and detect the flow of the sea. With the help of Moana, Maui also took back his weapon, the fishhook-shaped knife, and overcame the demon, and could transform into various animals again.
When facing TaKa, quarrel, withdraw, coordinate, cooperate, until Moana finds out that Taka is actually the goddess of the source of life. Both find themselves, find their place.
Compared with the previous princess series, this time there is no pink bubbles added to the love between the male and female protagonists, and the whole drama does not feel monotonous.
I must mention the chick HeiHei, silly, and has become the most individual of all the female/male animal gangs. Piglet Pua has a cute and bleeding face, cute?
8.5 points is appropriate.
