I went to the cinema without knowing anything about the film and it turned out to be unexpectedly to my liking. I slept very late yesterday to catch up with my homework, so I was a little drowsy for the first ten minutes, and suddenly the weird background music appeared with the main storyline, and I woke up immediately.
I think this is a biological thriller science fiction film, because the horror point of the film is not only the sudden shock of you in the dark, but also the sense of shock brought by biological mutation. From the beginning, the film guides the audience into and familiar with this extremely mutated environment step by step, from the discovery of flowers of completely different species, to the appearance of crocodiles with attributes of other species, and then to people. I think the display of the whole environment is surprising and imaginative, making people curious about this quiet, treacherous and desperate situation. I think this level of environment construction and atmosphere creation is the most successful part of this film. Of course, it is also because I eat this set more, and I will be very excited.
There's something special about this movie. According to friends, some people commented that they did not understand what the movie was trying to say, and felt that there was a lack of expression. How to say it, at the end of the film, the investigator asks the heroine, what do these aliens want, what do they want? ? The lady said she didn't know. Investigators are puzzled, how is this possible! They must have come to contaminate our species, mutate us, and do bad things to us (I forgot the original sentence....)! ! The hostess said indifferently, maybe they don't want anything. Yes, I think, not all sci-fi movies have to tell people something, not movies with aliens, aliens must come to persecute us or be friends with us, and then pass the mouths of these alien friends Advice to Humans: Stupid Lower Creatures! Look at what you have done on earth! You are greedy and selfish and shameless! We have to act for the heavens!
In this film none of that exists, there is no central idea, waiting for the scribing pen to drop.
To paraphrase some opinions I have always seen recently: this review may be a rhetorical compliment in your eyes, but for a pseudo-science fiction fan, this is a carnival !
