I only saw this movie because of Christian Bale.
Most of the time up front was drowsy, slow and full of old routines...it wasn't really interesting until the climax. So I say "half a good movie". At the end, Wade kills Charlie, which is really puzzling. It seems that the cherry on the cake has a fly stuck on it, which affects the feeling of the whole movie. Of course, this plot is logically reasonable, because Wade was originally a "ruthless" person, but if Bale's son killed Wade's men, the overall feeling would definitely be better.
Plus, it would have been better if Bale and Russel swapped roles. Bale's character fails to deliver the tension of his performance, and Russel's performance is too mild.
I always feel that Russel is not worthy of the title of Best Actor~ Personal opinion, huh~ Welcome to Paizhuan.
