A robot boy longs to become a real person, longing for an immortal soul, isn't this "Pinocchio" plus "The Daughter of the Sea"? The robot boy searched all over the world, but at "the end of the world and the place where the lion sheds tears", what awaits him is the broken statue of the blue fairy. Fortunately, fairy tales always have a perfect ending. The aliens replaced the blue fairy and realized David's dream. The fairy-tale love and tenderness are shocking, but the darkness and cruelty of some scenes in the film are even more heart-pounding. When David's human mother abandoned him in the woods, when the robots were slaughtered as trash in the arena, it's hard to tell, it's a fairy tale. In fact, like "The Daughter of the Sea", when David was made, he had a soul, would love, and longed to be loved. But the question is, can we respond to this love? When the gray wolves and witches in fairy tales are replaced by prejudice and misunderstanding, what will the fairy tale's ending be?
