He is just a little boy.

Although I saw this film burst into tears, the feeling it gave me was not moving, but cruel.

The line that touched me the most in the film was "The agreement cannot be changed, and his love will always be burned on its hardware" - in fact, David doesn't understand love, he can't love, his "love" is just a rewritten program.
Because of this cold procedure, David deeply loves his dear mommy, but the love of this procedure is not unrequited, so the seeds of tragedy are planted.

When David was abandoned by his favorite mum, he must have felt like his world was falling apart. He doesn't know how to love, and of course he doesn't know how selfish the world's love is. However, it is very strange that the various behaviors of young David before leaving home in the film just show the selfishness of his love for Mommy. Is it possible to think that this love is not just a program?

You can never predict what a person who loves others with his life will do if he doesn't get something in return, and "machine" is even more difficult to predict. After being abandoned, David has hope that he will find the fairy in blue and become a real boy, so that "Mummy will love me". When David repeated these words over and over, calling out to the woman in blue over and over again, I was on the screen, and I was thinking over and over again, let this child realize his dream, even if it was just an unreal fairy tale. Fortunately, at the end of the film, he had the opportunity to dream. I think he will be happy in the end.

Some people say that the end of the film conveys a touch of warmth. I don't deny it, I agree. However, after thinking about it in reverse, a deep coolness filled my heart.

Look how cruel this fact is. David thought that as long as he was a real little boy like Pinocchio, his mother would love him as much as Martin. However, what if he became a real boy? I think all the spectators must be well aware of this. David has waited two thousand years in the torrent of time for such an illusory result, how ridiculous, how pity, how pitiful. Someone once said that things in the world sometimes seem cruel, but when you turn them around, they are also a kind of compassion. Spielberg's ending was merciful and cruel, so that I couldn't accurately express my feelings after watching the film, and I just wrote the following sentences mechanically.

He remembers all things of her even two thousand years latter.
And he loves her always forever.
He just knows her is his mother.
And he is just a little boy who wants to get her love.
Please give him a sweet dream.
Thanks to the end, he could finally be happiness. In the

end, may David be happy forever in his sleep.

Professor Hobby: Tell me. What is love?

Secretary: Love is first widening my eyes a little bit... and quickening my breathing a little... and warming my skin and touching my...

Professor Hobby: And so on. Exactly so. Thank you, Sheila.

Professor Hobby: [the group claps] But I wasn't referring to sensuality stimulators. The word that I used was 'love.' Love like the love of a child for it's parents. I propose that we build a robot child who can love. A child robot who will genuinely love... the parent, or parents it imprints on... with a love that will never end.

    Supernerd: A child-substitute Mecha?

Professor Hobby: But a Mecha with a mind, with neuronal feedback. You see, what I'm suggesting is that love will be the key... by which they acquire a kind of subconscious never before achieved. An inner world of metaphor, intuition, a self-motivated reasoning, of dreams.

Monica: I must be confused. What day is it?

David: [David smiles] It is... today.
