spatiotemporal clues

I bought a Wanda student package at the school, which cost 30 yuan a set, which is 10 yuan a piece.
So I went to see it alone. Originally, I wanted to watch "Babel Tower", but the conductor said that "Time and Space Clues" is much better. So I watched it. There were only three people in the whole movie, it was quite empty and not too noisy, so I enjoyed it a lot. The visual effects are also very shocking, so now more than two weeks have passed, and the plot is still very clear.
The story is probably about a big ship being blown up, so both the police and the FBI are investigating the case. The way of investigation is based on the interlacing of time and space. The amazing thing is that you can see a certain range from the screen. All people and things can also hear voices, continuously, as if they are repeating before your eyes. So the male protagonist wanted to save the people who died in this accident, made many attempts, and even traveled back to four days ago through time and space. However, everything he did has been counted by fate, and his efforts made him feel powerless, but he was still unwilling to give up. However, the movie doesn't give us a tragic ending, and fatalism ultimately doesn't work. He ended up saving everyone on the ship and got his love.
High technology is the foundation of this story, and traveling through time and space is the turning point of the story. When I saw it, I thought that he died when he saved the people on the boat, then of course he would not continue to love her again, but it was an unexpected ending.
Is the movie optimistic? Or am I being too pessimistic?

Deja Vu quotes

  • Doug Carlin: Is she alive or is she dead?

Denny: Alright: Life, like time and space, is not merely a local phenomenon.

Doug Carlin: [Screaming] Oh Alright! Am I asking a hard question?

Denny: [Muttering] Looks like I picked a bad week to stop snorting hash.

Doug Carlin: I'll tell you what: I will speak slow so that those of you with Ph.D's in the room can understand. Here, look. Here's a monitor, right?

[Throws a chair against the monitor, breaking it]

Doug Carlin: Now the monitor is broken. It's dead. It's not temporarily transitioned to another state of entropy, it's *dead*. Right. Now is *she* alive or is she *dead*?

    Denny: She's alive.

Doug Carlin: Alright. Now we're getting somewhere.
