I believe that audiences who have watched it for more than one season will be amazed by the plump characters and the complex and real social background. The sociological value that some commentators think is not too much. Everything shown in the play can dwarf many documentaries, and perhaps a few years later this work can be regarded as "Once Upon a Time in America" in the early twentieth century.
Finally, I accidentally discovered a little joke from the screenwriter, the protagonist's name Mcnulty happened to be a homophone of naughty (naughty, naughty).
