Admit it, we're just looking for a reason

We always hope to find a solid reason to release our anger and soothe our grief.

Bao's case is very similar to this movie, but everyone is reluctant to associate it, because the story is told from the perspective of the male protagonist, while Bao's incident is passed through the mouth of a little girl. The story told by the writer's polish, and the details are so detailed and rich, it's like stretching the part told by the girl into a novel, without the perspective of the male protagonist. (Of course, it was reported by Miss Yuan later)

The movie conjures up a so-called God's point of view, allowing us to finally judge with confidence, praise what we like and criticize what we hate.

But not really, right?

My personal irresponsible understanding, the forgiveness that Christianity preaches, the so-called whoever can say he is innocent, can throw a stone at it, is because of this. In our own one-sided, sometimes confusing, and deceitful perceptions, any judgment of others is unreliable and unreasonable.

But we really can't stand it. When that huge emotion hits our soul, we can't do nothing, we can't believe that, behind the lying lion, the victim gets up and hugs the murderer.

So let’s build a set of rules. It has nothing to do with morality, humanity or dignity. It’s just a plus b plus c to get d. It’s just a math problem, even if it’s still inseparable from our subjectivity.

One of the interesting things about the law is that it usually feels as if it is sacred and inviolable, but in fact it is always changing, changing, and can even be completely revised for a certain case. Of course, these changes are in line with the justice in our hearts, but it is always funny to see us bowing our heads and acknowledging the supremacy of something that has been transformed by ourselves at will.

So, based on this unreliable thing, we decided to forcibly detain a person in an iron cage for ten, twenty years, or simply end his life. What's more tragic is that this is the best way we can think of.

Maybe this is still not rational, but at least we can pretend to be rational, at least we can give ourselves a reason to convince ourselves.

Looks good, this acting. But so angry, be a good person.
