The heteronomy of morality

I watched this movie recently, and Dogtown, and American Crime. None of these movies are very comfortable.
Among them, especially the issues that this movie talks about are the most interesting to me. There is an outside force in Dogtown, and there is an outside force in the sins of the American pastoral. This external force is twisting people, twisting everyone.
There is no external force in this movie. The only thing that can be regarded as an external force is probably the little girl's lie.
Why does the little girl lie? This is not the main issue I want to discuss here. What I want to discuss here is a moral issue in foreign societies. Of course, it also exists in China, but it's not obvious enough, and it's not that strong enough.

What is morality for? The essential function of morality is not to regulate others, or to restrain others' behavior. The essential function of morality is to regulate oneself, that is, self-discipline.

There are many things in life that are immoral for a person, but is the condemnation of public opinion and the condemnation of morality so reasonable? Have you paid the corresponding responsibility? Sometimes, the consequences of this moral condemnation are unexpected and stronger than they feel.

There's nothing wrong with the male lead's son, but he was beaten for it. There's nothing wrong with the hero's dog either, but it's killed because of him. This is the malignant result of the effect of moral heteronomy.

When I measure whether a person's behavior is moral, and then give this person a moral evaluation, are we objective? Is it comprehensive?
The answer is no. We will not be as tolerant as judges, and we will not be as tolerant as ourselves. We treat others harshly in order to protect our own interests.
This is morality, this is the heteronomy of morality.

Once morality is applied to heteronomy, it is irrational, inappropriate, inappropriate. Because morality should be used for self-discipline. We shouldn't use morality to condemn others, but we should use morality to reflect three times a day.
When we condemn others with morality, the incomplete and personal biased views often cause great harm to the person, and we do not know it.

If anyone made a mistake in this movie, it was everyone but the protagonist. They all use morality to discipline, to regulate and restrain others. And the source of this restriction is all one's own opinion and baseless.

When morality is heteronomy, each of us stands on the commanding heights of morality and looks down on others to satisfy our inner sense of transcendence. What a small and humble psychology this is.

Lucas: What are you saying? Have you got something to tell me?

    Agnes: Stop it, Lucas.

Lucas: You want to tell me something?

    Theo: Relax, Lucas.

Lucas: The whole town is listening. Tell me! What do you want to say?

Agnes: Stop it, you fucking psychopath!

Lucas: I want a word with Theo. Look into my eyes. Look me in the eyes. What do you see? Do you see anything? Nothing. There's nothing. There's nothing. You leave me alone now. You leave me alone now, Theo. Then I'll go. Thank you.
