The film is basically based on actual events, and the male protagonist is the incarnation of five arms dealers. The film is not operated by any American company behind the scenes, and the source of funds is deliberately excluded from the United States. The film has received considerable assistance from arms smugglers. More than 3,000 real AK47 guns are used in the film. The first reason is that prop guns are more expensive than real guns, and the second reason is that they have the help of smugglers, and their efficiency is better than that of the production company.
To make the film, Nicolas Cage formed his own film company, which is why Andrew Nicol eventually came together with him. Another leading actor in the film is Ethan Hawke, who is well-known in Hollywood as an international police detective, loyal to his duty, and the beautiful Bridget Moynahan. He played Cage's wife.
