I don't want to be the tail of the evolutionary chain - "Book of Eli"

It's not really black and white, it's a beautiful silhouette drawing.
In the open land, the sky with dark clouds, and on the straight road, a lonely figure came.
The back is silent, the spine is tall and straight, and the steps are firm, facing only one direction - the west.
...
what time is this?
do not know.
Abandoned city buildings, barren land with no grass, thin and bald wild cats eating the toes of dead people.
Dust like volcanic ash fell in large swaths, covering the entire forest and a gas mask.
Heavy breathing came from under the mask, and it turned out to be a living person.
Squeak...whoosh————bang!
A feathered arrow suddenly shot out from under the mask, instantly pinning the wild cat that had just been alerted to the ground.
Waiting for the cat, not bad. Today's dinner has, roast cat meat. This tastes good, don't you want a piece?
...
At what point will the ruler of this planet go to prey on wild cats that have just eaten dead people?
When will bows, arrows, knives, and fire become necessary for a person to survive?
A pair of shoes, just an old pair of shoes worn by the dead, will make the long-distance lone walker happily repeat "nice".
Yes, I am arrogant, I am arrogant.
A person who has walked hundreds of kilometers every day for 30 years needs more than money or a car, but shoes and water.
Deprived of all the glory and wealth, deprived of all the joy and well-being, what is left of you, the only thing left of you, is just to live, to live very hard.
Is this sarcasm? Humans, who have evolved for 200,000 years, still have to learn from their ancestors in the end-the hunger is not the choice of food, and the weak eat the strong.
A stick hits back to its original shape, what is the original, how are you.

Well, it's too depressing, I adjust my mood and return to the topic.
It's a 2010 doomsday movie starring Denzel Washington called The Book of Eli.
Compared to another apocalyptic movie "Doomsday" in 2009 with the same theme, this one is fairly bright. At least, the story gives people hope at the end, the hope of rebuilding the world brought by faith.
There are grim action elements in the film, and the wind and sand that blows from time to time, although it was not shot in the desert, it gave me a kind of earthy taste of "New Dragon Inn".
Denzel Washington's acting skills are still unspoken, too good to be true. There are a lot of silhouettes about him in the film, the sky and the earth are empty, and he is as silent as a mountain. That's the kind of shot that doesn't need you to say anything, doesn't need you to do anything, my chest is thumping and thumping.
I admire the photography team of the foreigners very much, capturing the scenes of the actors in the script, which is so in place.
You don't need special effects, you just need to be careful and you can do it.
The story tells the story of Avery, protecting the last Bible on earth, and reaching the land of Western civilization. Passing through a small town on the way, I met an armed leader who was looking for the Bible. In his words, this book is the most powerful weapon to save mankind, far more effective than firearms.
The story line is very lively, from front to back, to the end.
The most memorable thing is that the Bible was actually a blind version, and it was covered with Braille.
The lame armed leader stood on the second floor, watching the subordinates downstairs who had been suppressed by him before, smashing, smashing and robbing things in the bar, a sense of despair filled his heart - although he grabbed the Bible back, he couldn't understand it. Braille!
I always thought that the Bible had words, and in all the previous shots of that book, I couldn't clearly see what was inside the cover. The director is stupid enough!
There are two things that stand out here that I think are the highlights of this movie.
order, and chaos.
Under the violent suppression of the armed leaders before, those subordinates were very obedient, and according to his instructions, they searched for the Bible everywhere and managed the town.
At first glance, there is nothing wrong with it. This is also an order, but a little overbearing.
But he didn't think so, he knew it wasn't a long-term solution. There is one thing missing, something that can subdue people's hearts. Right now, these people seem to listen to him, and they don't even dare to pronounce his name, but what's in their hearts? I definitely want to peel his skin and break his bones!
After all, violence cannot last long, and it is not a good way to maintain systemic governance. This is the most clear truth to a man who has read many books.
Until Avery walked into the town with the Bible and walked into his bar, his dream book was finally delivered to the door. Under various calculations, he decided to take the violent means he was good at and grab the book.
Unexpectedly, Ellie seems to be possessed by a god and is invulnerable. He broke through alone, but so many people didn't stop him.
His men were terrified, because Avery was not an ordinary person. The armed leader was extremely angry, bandaged the wound on his leg, and with a large group of people, drove a motorcade out to chase.
Later caught up, one shot, just one shot, knocked Avery down. Here, Washington plays very well. Standing up from the ground, he patted the dust on his body casually, took out his self-defense dagger, and shook it around, trying to counterattack. I almost thought he was really possessed by spirits and invulnerable. As a result, it only lasted for less than ten seconds, and then he really fell down.
The armed leader laughed. It turns out that Avery is not a god, not really invulnerable. I'm depressed, it turns out Avery is a human.
After losing a large number of subordinates, plus becoming a lame man, he was unable to suppress the armed leaders of his subordinates, and finally saw the end without the Bible, once again chaos.
I remember when the leader of the armed forces asked Avery to leave the Bible, Avery said that he had been looking for a place to protect the book, but he had not found it.
It can be guessed that even if the bible was given to the armed leader, he would just use this book to blind the minds of his subordinates, control them, and do whatever he wanted. Rather than as the Bible says, it really brings hope and light, happiness and well-being to everyone.
What about us? In our 9.6 million square kilometers of land, is there such a thing that can open up people's minds and restrain people's inner demons, so that we can truly evolve in the direction of good evolution that human beings should move towards? How exciting.
I don't want to be the tail of the evolutionary chain.

The Book of Eli quotes

  • Eli: They say the war tore a hole in the sky, you've probably heard the stories.

    Solara: Yeah.

Eli: The war tore a hole in the sky, the sun came down, burnt everything, everyone, I wandered, I didn't really know what I should do or where I was going. I was just moving from place to place, trying to stay alive. And then one day I heard this voice. I don't know how to explain it, it's like it was coming from inside me. But I could hear it clear as day. Clear as I can hear you talking to me now. It told me to carry the book west, it told me that a path would be laid out before me, that I'd be led to a place where the book would be safe. It told me I'd be protected, against anyone or anything that tried to stand in my way. If only I would have faith. That was thirty years ago and I've been walking ever since.

Solara: And you did all this because a voice told you to?

Eli: I know what I hear, I know what I heard, I know I'm not crazy, I didn't imagine it

  • Hoyt: [seeing two dead hijackers] It's like he's protected somehow. Like there's nothing that can touch him

Carnegie: Oh, he's just a fucking man. You put a bullet in him, he'll go down like any other.
