Erasing stereotypes is easier said than done

First of all, as I have read both novels and movies, I have to say that both are rare masterpieces.

As for the work, the whole is depicted from the perspective of a little girl, Louis. So, both adults and children will enjoy watching it with gusto.

I won't dwell on the outline of the story. Say some of my thoughts.

"There is one thing that cannot follow the principle of conformity, and that is the conscience of man." This is a sentence printed on the back cover of the novel. (The book is not at hand, the original words are not necessarily this, but the meaning is)

In the face of right and wrong, most people can distinguish between right and wrong. But what about the things around you? In the face of too ordinary things? In the face of things that violate common sense?

Tom was a black man, at the bottom of the chain of contempt at the time. So, people take it for granted that he raped the white lady Mayella. Even if the young lady's words were full of flaws, even if her father was just adding fuel to it to cover up his tendency to domestic violence. After a heated and professional discussion by the jury, they unanimously concluded that Tom was guilty. Because he was black, this conclusion seemed all too sincere to the jury.

Atticus looked helpless, and he told Tom we still had a chance and could appeal. Soon after returning home, I heard the news that Tom had been killed by mistake. All the hard work just went to waste.

Whether it's Tom being blamed in every possible way, or Atticus being criticized for taking the case, at least there's hope. The death of the former not only ruined all hope, but even more terrifying is that they lost the opportunity to clear their grievances. From now on, people will still think that he really raped Miss Mayella. In this way, it is more and more that everyone thinks that black people are so shameless,

In the end, how many tragedies have to happen before people realize how terrible "prejudice" is. Do you have to wait until something happens to you before you can feel why the world is like this?

Tom came out in court, telling how Miss Mayella had seduced her - and of course, this was only his side of the story. But because the other party's remarks were too outrageous, it in turn proved that what he said was true to a large extent - but because of his skin color, no one believed him. Mr. Bu is withdrawn and does not communicate often. As a result, it was spread extremely terrifyingly by the neighbors, and the children in front of his house considered it a forbidden place. In the end, everyone's impression of him would still be the same if he hadn't rescued Louis and Jem.

There are too many narrow-mindedness and malice brought about by this stereotype. Boys should do physical work, girls should be quiet. A promotion must go away, and making a fortune must be unjust. It seems that it is too easy to speculate on others with malicious intent.

In the same way, others are speculating on us with malicious intent.

So, we start to be stingy with our kindness, because we are afraid of being used by others, and we are afraid of leaving our mouths behind. So, between people, there is only interest left. is this okay?

This work not only tells us that this is not good, but also tells us how to do it.

Atticus won't just listen to one side, but let himself judge what the parties say. Because no matter how fair the person is, he doesn't consciously erase what's unfavorable to him when he describes things, there's nothing to be ashamed of, it's human nature. Also, Atticus respects the right of everyone to speak, even if it's just a child. He gave them enough credit that they didn't think they had no right to argue because of their identity, age, or education. That's why Louis and Jem love him so much, and the whole town respects him so much.

When we are willing to let go of our inherent prejudices and listen to their voices. When we truly respect them, that's when life gets better.

Atticus says he's not an idealist who just looks up to the sky -- ideals that are too unrealistic will eventually turn into fantasies -- he's all too aware of the path under his feet. So he presented the facts and reasoned, and let everyone judge. Although he still lost in the end, at least there is still hope. But Tom is dead, where is hope.

Mr. Boo saved his child, and Louis' face full of surprise and gratitude when he saw Mr. Boo was hope.

Atticus told his children to convince people with reason. You can't fight even if others are swearing at each other. The moment you raise your fist, malice fills your heart, which will only make things worse. The maid Karl told Louis not to expose his friend's shortcomings, but to respect him, protect him, and accompany him.

This is really great work. Let us see what we can still see today in the torrent of history and within the limitations of the times. To understand injustice is to understand justice. After going through prejudice, misunderstanding, and stereotype, I understand the value of respect.

I would like to believe in hope, as I would like to believe, the immortality of the hymn of the idealists!

The story itself is good, but it can actually be more interesting. Both the good and evil in the characters are too stereotyped. The front always has a righteous face, and every action of the opponent is a riffraff. Various roles, lines, scenes, and performances are arranged. Too deliberate. I thought that there would be surprises in the double line, but the end was still abrupt. As a narrator, how does the girl know the plot of Parker and her son acting alone? There are loopholes in the narrative perspective.

End racism and make equality for men and women. I would teach life through music.
