Weakness is the window between people

no one is perfect. Everyone has a weak underbelly, but some people can see it and some people can't. Self-knowledge allows us to see our own weaknesses; compassion allows us to appreciate the pain of others.
Regarding the film itself, I think there are "weak points", for example, how could the white mother in the film suddenly accept Big Mike who looks like Tarzan to others? Is it the "goodness of one thought" that the sages said? Regarding these details, it is meaningless to think too much about these details. What I value more is the warmth between people in the movie.
When it comes to characters in the movie, my favorites are Big Mike and his younger brother. He looks like Tarzan, but Big Mike's eyes reveal a helpless look like a sick cat. This look of helplessness may be his weakness, and it is also the window he has opened, it may have been his last window after the death of his father, this window was seen by the white mother, so his heart was full of sunshine , also with his subsequent success. What if no one sees this window? Just like if the other person mentioned at the end of the movie became a murderer.
The little brother with the spots on his face is very cute. What he likes the most is his undefense. His heart must be full of doors and windows, and it must be full of sunshine. Because of this, he has the most complete acceptance of Big Mike in the family, it seems that Big Mike was born to be his older brother. Having said that, let's talk about something that is not off-topic. I have watched the Yushu earthquake a lot recently. What I can’t stand the most is the CCTV host’s questions to the victims and relief workers. They often ask you which ethnic group you belong to. It seems that only when different ethnic groups are together and help each other is unity. I do not object to the original intention, but the question itself has shown that in the heart of the host, each ethnic group is different or even unequal. If they are really equal, how can they care what nationality they are? Just care if they have a "weakness" to help, right? Just like the white mother in this movie, she didn't care about Big Mike's skin color when she rescued Big Mike!
Weakness is a window to the helper and a window to the benefactor. Just like the white mother in the movie, it was Big Mike's further studies that made her see her disagreement with the University of Mississippi and the University of Tennessee, and it was Big Mike who made her see that she should be more considerate of Big Mike. not just my own opinion.
It is precisely because of the weakness that the connection between people is closer, of course, the premise of warmth must be added.
I recently read Master Shengyan's book, and there is a sentence in it that touched me very much as a father: Every child is a Bodhisattva who helps their parents grow up.
After watching this movie, what I thought was that weakness is the window through which people can see each other; weakness is also the step that helps us become Buddhas!

The Blind Side quotes

  • Miss Sue: You like Tennessee? That's a good school. Not at the academic level of Ole Miss but they have an outstanding science department. You know what they're famous for? They work with the FBI, to study the effects of soil on decomposing body parts. When they find a body, the police wanna know how long it's been dead. So the fine folks at Tennessee help them out. Oh, they have lots of body parts. Arms and legs and hands, from hospitals and medical schools. And do you know where they store 'em? Right underneath the football field. So while it's fine and dandy to have 100,000 fans cheering for you, the bodies you should be worried about are the ones right under the turf. Set to poke up through the ground and grab you... Well, it's your decision where you wanna play ball. Don't let me influence you.

Leigh Anne Touhy: I hear "Mrs. Touhy" I look over my shoulder for my mother-in-law. Call me Leigh Anne or Mama or almost anything else.
