It's probably a classic

Because of the movie "Story", I have to say that spoilers are devastating to the viewing experience of suspense movies, especially when you know the best turning point of this movie - She's my sister and my daughter.

Even so, the plot is fluid and interlocking, and each episode is so well-meaning that it's hard to find extra shots. I am still amazed by this classic script in the history of film while watching the movie. From the beginning of Jake's investigation into an extramarital affair, he seems to be caught but suddenly discovers that he has been deceived, and he wants to restore his reputation but is involved in a murder case shrouded in suspicion. The process of solving the case was even more twists and turns, and the suspects changed frequently. As the truth of the case is revealed, the film ends with a tragic ending.

Unexpected yet reasonable is my impression of the film. Throughout the film, the anxiety of water scarcity pervades the film, the dry riverbed, and the wrath of shepherds and fruit farmers that make Noah's plot at the end of the credits so believable. And when Evelyn confesses to her incest with her father, you'll remember the nervous look on Evelyn's face as he lit a cigarette when Jake first suggested Noah was Evelyn's father. When Evelyn says that Hollis has been taking care of his daughter, you will think of his refusal to build a dam for the safety of the people, his investigation into the secret release of water from the cistern, and you will think that Hollis is such a kind and responsible person. Not to mention that Jake mixed into the crime scene with a business card, the car horns and so on are full of details and echoes throughout the film, this film seems to be such a close-knit whole.

The title of the film is chinatown throughout the film. As the place where the protagonist Jake once worked, it is also the reason for his resignation. According to a few words in the dialogue, we know that chinatown seems to be full of crimes, the police are not so impartial, and Jake once lost his beloved woman there due to a dereliction of duty. . Chinatown seems to have become a symbol of chaos and tragedy often talked about by the characters. And near the end of the movie, when the plot really came to Chinatown, the audience probably had a bad feeling in their hearts. Sure enough, Evelyn was shot, the culprit at large, and Jake left the scene in a trance. All this seems like the realization of the hunch in Murphy's Law, and it is like the reappearance of old events, which makes the audience have a rather wonderful mysterious experience.
