historical film

Overall, a very good movie!

From a characterization point of view, each actor has created the character traits that the character itself needs. Sean's greed and selfishness, Ben's wit and love, Ben's father's helplessness and frustration after years of unsuccessful treasure hunts, Chelsea's cleverness, and Riley's ignorance! Each character has its own positioning and distinctive characteristics!

From the plot point of view, step by step, the movie develops the entire storyline through the discovery of clues to being cracked, so as to make the whole story climax.

From the perspective of the scene, the choice of each location and the arrangement of each scene are very historical, and they fully demonstrate the history of the United States, spread American culture, and reflect the American style. Of course, it is also quite appropriate to the storyline!

But there is one shortcoming. At the beginning of the film, the grandfather tells the little boy the family story and the transition goes directly to the treasure hunt when he grows up. The transition is too fast and the transition is not perfect, which is slightly pale!

Very optimistic, exciting, but too subtle.

National Treasure quotes

  • Ben Gates: [upset] I just... really thought I was gonna find the treasure.

Patrick Gates: Okay. Then we just keep looking for it.

    Abigail Chase: I'm in.

  • Powell: [referring to the underground staircase] How do a bunch of guys with hand tools build all this?

Ben Gates: Same way they built the pyramids - and the Great Wall of China.

Riley Poole: Yeah... the aliens helped them.
