hehehehe another year

It's stupid to watch movies with preconceived prejudices as the original party, but what can be done? At a time when I was just learning Braille and digging through the bottom of the bedside box to read books, my mother borrowed a set of world famous comics from the library. When I opened the dark brown cover with the luster of ancient wood, Fantine's experience of being deceived, Jean Valjean's life in desperation, Eponine's hopeless love... "Les Miserables" became the first story that touched me. The high school has a library, and I found a big brick that translates between English and Chinese. Hugo's writings are romantic and pure but long-winded, but I might as well skip the competition class on weekend afternoons and lie in the dormitory where the sun shines on the blue plaid bed. , plunged headlong into the torrents of early nineteenth-century France until sunset with the humming of the quadruple electric baton. The translation of the bookworm is really bad, and I even wanted to learn French to read the original book. Hey~ If this is not the case, why do you want to watch this movie so much?

I didn't expect much of it before watching it. The films adapted from famous novels always have an indescribably outdated atmosphere - this is also impossible, and famous books are always as old as cultural relics - unless it is made into "Modern Passion After Romeo and Juliet" Kind of weird. When I bought the ticket and entered the venue, what I thought was, "Let's see what you can make of it!" Sure enough, I didn't expect it, but I was not disappointed, although it still basically follows the three views of the original book and is generally strong... But,,, it's so comfortable to watch !

There are ready-made operas that can be used, not to mention music. Perhaps the voice of the all-star cast is not perfect compared to the opera singers this time, but the atmosphere created by the cleanliness of the picture is definitely worth it. For example, after Fantine became a prostitute, the client left, the background was dark, and there was only a lonely and desperate man in the picture, with short messy hair on his head, half-naked with a dirty upper body, his mouth wide open, and he wanted to cry, I dreamed Before a dream sings, the audience with low tears has been heartbroken. I still remember that year when Jackman hosted the Oscars, and Hathaway picked up Hathaway from the stage to dance and sing awkwardly together, but now the two have become Jean Valjean Fantine on the screen, with a unique sense of subtlety.

There is also the movement of the camera. I don’t understand the terminology. The method of moving from a small detail to a streamlined walk through the streets and up to the vast panorama is not new. In the chocolate waterfall of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the prisoner of Azkaban rides I've used it on Buckbeak Soar and Pirates of the Caribbean street fights, but I just love it, it makes the movie dynamic, and it's immersive without the need for 3D. The motivation to spend money on tickets to enter the theater! In this movie, the use is particularly clever. In addition to the square revolution jumping and running with the little boy, there is also the part where Javert is pacing and wandering on the edge of the roof, great love.

Five original works, magnificent. It became a film of more than two hours, which must be chosen and abridged. After the drastic and ingenious addition of flowers and trees, the complete structure and wonderful details of the story are still preserved (although I have deleted the part of Jean Valjean who was buried alive and escaped for my life), It makes it easy for those who are exposed to the story for the first time to understand what happened, and follow the ups and downs of the plot.

Here are some details in order of appearance, with spoilers!

Wolverine is strong enough, but his face is too thin (the two deep nasolabial lines make me think he is more suitable for the role of Javert), which is quite inconsistent with the lonely and powerful Jean Valjean in my concept, but looking at I'm used to seeing it.
The front teeth that Fantine pulled out became the back molars, which saved the makeup artist’s troubles and made the solo shots look better. (actually just a tavern couple's hoax) what an eerie, creepy and sad smile.
Perhaps because the beautiful soul has been eroded too deeply, this version of the police detective Javert lacks the shrewd vulture of the hound, and is more entangled and hesitant. The worst thing is that in most cases his eyes are gentle and harmless. When I saw Javert's shadow, I was so nervous that "heart beat in my throat", which made Jean Valjean's escape more difficult and dangerous, but in the movie, I don't know if it was intentional or not, these were all weakened.
The most outstanding is the tavern owner couple of Uncle Sa and Aunt Hai. Their elegant appearances exploded the audience. The British are really invincible when they are cheap. Think how much I hated these two cannibalistic guys when I was a child, but now I just think they have too few scenes to be enjoyable. Thinking of "Four Generations Together", I also like the big red bag and the crown Xiaohe the most, really hehehe.
My favorite girl, the one who will warn her sweetheart with a bullet with a note "Leizi is coming", is no longer sensitive and neurotic, like a broken dahlia that suddenly grabs people's hearts. Instead, the three people under the fence in the garden sang each other, as pure as a college musical.
When she was young, Cosette was bullied by the tavern couple and her two sisters to work as a Cinderella, and when she grew up in a convent, she became the daughter of the sea, a paperless princess married to the prince. The two people with the progressive young Marius are tired and crooked, and the movie is even more so. "Notre Dame de Paris" is well written, a lover will eventually become a skeleton.
When I was a child, I had no interest in the part of the progressive youth making revolution. I quickly turned the pages of the book. After so many years of repeated brainwashing, I saw the romance of the students and the betrayal of the people with the mentality of an old man. The only thought was: How did this film get cut out in the mainland? The little boy Gavros is really dazzling, from the rebellious appearance to the unruly sacrifice, as long as there is his picture, no one else can be seen.

The world in the novel is inherently pure, and the screenwriter's cutting knife makes it cute again and again, and the singing and dancing are level and funny. Compared with the cruelty I understand, isn't this very good?

On the afternoon of the last day of 2012, in this tragic world that is not so tragic, to end this long and difficult year for me, before the lights came on, I wiped away my tears and my head, happy new year~

  • Thénardier: Make for the sewers! Get underground! Leave her to me, Don't wait around! You wait, my girl! You'll rue this night! I'll make you scream! You'll scream all right!
