Uphold human dignity in a world of misery

From the beginning of the movie, I sang, except for the solo solo, and even the dialogues are mostly melody. I've never seen a musical before, and I was worried that I would fall asleep watching it, but I didn't!

The pictures, music, and situations work together quite well, pulling the emotions of the viewers, sometimes high-pitched, sometimes grief-stricken, and sometimes intoxicated with tenderness. And the music arouses empathy very quickly, and I was moved
in an instant. If it were normal dialogue and the plot develops so fast, it would feel too unconvincing, but it is very real and moving when it is sung like this.

At the beginning, there is a chorus of criminals standing in the water and pulling the boat. The grief and anger are high, and the torment and despair of Jean Valjean's 19-year prison life is immediately conveyed to the audience.

In the scene of the factory, in the surreal chaos of the brothel, the pure beauty was instantly cut her hair, had her teeth pulled, and sat in a broken boat after being abused. Facing the most bleak reality, Fantine sang her best dreams. The tragic fate is fully revealed.

In the whole play, there are the disappointment and beauty of love, the evil of poverty, the harsh law, God, and the revolution of passionate youth. Saw a comment saying that the topic was not clear and didn't know exactly what to write. I don't think there's anything in the story line that I'm trying to write about.

Seeing the acquaintance and love between Jean Valjean and Fantine, I thought they were going to have an emotional drama, but they didn't. Seeing the love between Maris and Cosette and Alboni, I thought there would be jealousy, or love at first sight and then abandon it, but it didn't. Otherwise, this is a pure love drama.

When I saw the hot-blooded youth and the revolution, I thought that there would be intrigue in the revolution, and that human nature is complicated and difficult to distinguish between good and evil, but there is no. Otherwise the focus is on showing the revolution.

When I watch this movie, it is a slice, standing at that point in time and looking at it, I see a tragic world.

The world is always chaotic, cruel, so huge that it can easily crush a person's body, and so long that one can easily ignore the struggle of a whole life.

The wasted years will not be compensated, and the beautiful dreams will not be realized. When you are young and vigorous, you may be in a blink of an eye. The best outcome of a life without sustenance is to die in the arms of the one you love. Rulers in troubled times cannot accept that the rules should be changed, and finally they can no longer ignore the torment of good people, and finally bury themselves and their past convictions.

Such tragic, but the whole play still tenaciously showing hope.

How insignificant a person is in the face of the cruel world, how can he spend his life? A person cannot predict the future, cannot surpass the times, usually cannot meet a good time, and is not tenacious enough to survive the dawn. Life and death, success or failure, rich and poor, are not under the control of people.

The answer given by the movie is faith, there is only one kind of life worth living, that is to live for a mission. Whether it is raising an orphan, or determined to save the world from water and fire, or to maintain the law in the heart, or to believe in a beautiful Love, they are all people who live with dignity.
