I wish you were not a hero

To be honest, this film is a relatively standard Hollywood action film. It can't become a classic, but it can't be said to be bad. It's the kind of work that swings around the mid-range. If the propaganda is in place and the schedule is appropriate, you can earn a little more. On the contrary, you can earn a little less. It is impossible to lose all your money, but it is difficult to make a big hit. It's the kind of middle-of-the-road work that doesn't have any major mistakes or stand out.
The only highlight of the film is Tom Cruise, Tom Cruise, without him I really can't see the movie's selling point, and it's even a problem to print anything on the poster. As for the suspense mentioned in the film, it is too simple to be worth mentioning. Even a layman like me can find countless doubts, such as: I heard that guns have a blessing line, which is unique like a person's fingerprints, then Just check the warhead to know that two guns have been fired, right? In addition, I think that just by checking the location of the body and the location of the gunshot wound, you can roughly calculate the location of the shooting. How can it be so bad? Do you see such a case full of loopholes even using labor Tom to reverse the direction of the investigation?
Therefore, the focus of this film is still on the stars. But there was something new about this film that caught my eye. When the villain resorted to the old-fashioned trick of kidnapping hostages, Tom's response to such threats was: I'm not a hero, you can dispose of the hostages as you please, and we'll settle the account later. Probably means that. I rely on! It's so dick! I remember that it was only two thousand years ago that a man named Liu Bang said similar things when he was faced with a similar situation. Do you think this can make the villain stunned for a moment, and then start to break into a cold sweat? After hearing this sentence, I, who was already a little sluggish, immediately got up and looked down attentively.
It’s a pity that Tom was just talking about it, and soon he became a traditional Hollywood hero again. Although he was not a single-handed hero, he could also be regarded as “knowing that there are tigers in the mountains, and preferring the tigers to go up.” Compared with the villain’s approach, It's cliché to cliché. And those villains, as always, are not up to their expectations, and they even screwed up the ambush with ease. In this way, the film returned to the old routine after turning a gorgeous big bend.
Although Tomoe managed to save the beauty, he failed to save the mediocrity of the movie. In fact, movies have the opportunity to escape such mediocrity, as long as they follow the path of "I am not a hero", it is a pity that Hollywood, which is always thinking about promoting American heroism, does not have such courage and imagination, so that kind of Cruel words are just words. Alas, how much I hope Tom is not a hero!

Such a clichéd movie, with only a few small muscles of Tom, won applause from the audience at the end... The American people are so tolerant!

The rhythm is not tight enough, the narrative and climax are too out of touch, and Tom can't bear without a love scene

Jack Reacher quotes

  • Sandy: [Sandy, Jeb and four other guys all surround Reacher outside a bar]

    [to Reacher]

Sandy: You still think you're funny now, creep?

Jeb: Shut your mouth, Sandy! No one is talking to you!

Jack Reacher: It's your last chance to walk away.

Jeb: [chuckles] Are you kidding? It's five against one.

Jack Reacher: [shakes his head] It's *three* against one.

Jeb: [perplexed] *How* do you figure?

Jack Reacher: Well, once I take out the leader, which is you, I'll have to contend with one or two enthusiastic wingmen. The last two guys, they always run.

Jeb: Oh, you, uh, you've done this before?

Jack Reacher: [reluctantly nods] It's getting late.

    [Jeb moves in]

Jack Reacher: Remember, you wanted this.

[Jeb smiles and swings at Reacher, who ducks and elbows Jeb in the forehead, who falls to the ground]

    Jack Reacher: It's okay.

    [helps Jeb up]

    Jack Reacher: Get up.

[kicks Jeb in the groin from behind, Jeb groans and Reacher pushes him aside with his foot. The other four move in closer]

Jack Reacher: Okay, let me know who's who. Let's get this done.

[Reacher easily takes down the other four, with him holding the last guy's foot under his arm. Two of the guys get up and both stare at Reacher with fear]

    Jack Reacher: Really?

[kicks the last guy in the chest, who screams as he falls to the ground. The two guys run away as the cops come. Sandy runs away as well]

Cop: [points his gun at Reacher] On the ground.

Jack Reacher: That's a pretty impressive response time, fellas.

    Cop: Do it!

[Reacher reluctantly gets down on the ground, next to a groaning Jeb]

    Cop: Hands behind your back.

Jack Reacher: [to Jeb] Who hired you?

  • Jack Reacher: Look out the window.

Helen: No, I've work to do.

    Jack Reacher: Just humor me.

Helen: And you need to leave.

    Jack Reacher: Okay.

[Grabs Helen's arm and starts to pull her to the window]

Helen: Let, let go of me.

Jack Reacher: Would you tell me what you see?

Helen: I see the same... things I see every day.

Jack Reacher: Well, imagine you've never seen it. Imagine you've spent your whole life in other parts of the world being told every day you're defending freedom. And finally you decide you've had enough. Time to see what you've given up your whole life for. Maybe get some of that freedom for yourself. Look at the people. Now tell me which ones are free. Free from debt. Anxiety. Stress. Fear. Failure. Indignity. Betrayal. How many wish that they were born knowing what they know now? Ask yourself how many would do things the same way over again? And how many would live their lives like me.
