A good movie, when the subtitles appear, people are reluctant to leave. The music at the end that accompanies the subtitles is like an elegy. It's a pity that a good movie ends like this.
That's what I felt when I watched "Thunderbolt". I watched this movie shortly after it came out in 2010. It didn't make much sense then. This time, looking at it, I was touched. The last 20 minutes were exceptionally moving. All the pictures and plots after the little girl fell into the cave and was bitten by a snake. Of course the whole movie is pretty good too. After watching this film, I began to collect films that the Coen brothers had not seen before, and made up lessons one by one.
The film is also regarded by some as an elegy for the American Western. It celebrates a true heroism, true courage. from ordinary people.
A 14-year-old girl appears in the wild west world, and her mission is to bring home the body of her murdered father. But little girls have bigger claims. She's looking for a bounty killer to avenge her father. Although she is young, she is clear-headed, firm and resolute, and a sophisticated adult can't count on her. She hired a killer, who was not taken seriously at first because she was too young, to gradually win the trust and respect of the most fierce killers, and finally, the killer tried his best to send her, who was bitten by a poisonous snake, to her dying life for treatment. After a long-distance raid at night, when he finally arrived near the doctor's residence with the little girl in his arms, he had lost his last strength and could only fire a shot to remind the doctor.
That moment was really touching.
Two words came to my mind: earn life. friendship.
In a world with no one to rely on, everyone is earning their own lives, and if they don't try their best, they will lose their slim chances of survival. The little girl lived in such a world, using all her strength to earn her qualifications to live with dignity. Her courage and strength finally influenced the strange and fierce person, and even the other party finally fought to save her, hoping to save her life, treating her as an indestructible treasure.
When the killer brought the comatose little girl to the doctor's residence, she disappeared.
Twenty-five years later, the little girl has grown into middle age and has never been married. She has experienced the most difficult life and encountered the most powerful man. It is estimated that she has entered a marriage with a general person and built a cage for her life. lose interest. When she learned that her former savior had been seriously ill somewhere far away and died soon after, she hurried there. But I heard that the man had died three days ago. So, she buried the body of the other party in a grand burial.
This friendship is so touching. Fight to save each other, and then forget each other in the rivers and lakes. This seemingly accidental friendship in the turbulent times is actually out of deep admiration and attraction for inner strength. People who are self-improving in their hearts, the halo will shine on others. Friendship does not have to be based on time and relationship closeness, let alone actual interests. Can be just out of appreciation. After giving the most precious help, I would rather stay away automatically than worry about it. This is a rare kind of romance and a flash of humanity.
The Coen brothers, with their images, convey the possibility and power of the human spirit. It makes people feel deeply: there is a movie, it's really good.
