Classic recurrence
After reading the first part for a while, I always felt a little familiar, especially when Mattie rode Xiao Hei across the river to chase Cogburn; I felt a little unfamiliar and couldn't remember the complete plot; until the latter part of the story, I met Chaney and LaBoeuf by the Mattie River. The scene of shooting Ned from 400 yards away, all this is slowly recalled, it turns out that the last time I watched it with my roommates during college, the reason why it seems blurred is that it has been nearly 10 years.
the meaning of living
As the eldest son, Mattie took on the mission of revenge for his father, and made his own decisions and actions, which were all made at the age of 14;
Negotiate with the coffin businessman, and come up with a win-win deal; when you have no money, you can play a game with the owner of the horse factory to get your best interests;
Not working with LaBoeuf, it's all driven by revenge and knowing that Chaney must be tried in his own state.
Mattie's lifelong unmarried life and lifelong cleanliness may have spent her time on things that she thinks are more important; no more time, tenaciously living.
hunter
This trio is indispensable, and each has its own advantages. Among them, Mattie is a buffer and a reconciler. At such a young age, she can understand high emotional intelligence dialogue and resolve conflicts. Perhaps this is also what the revenge purpose church gave her, which shows the importance of goal guidance.
After Mattie fell into the cave and was bitten by a snake, Cogburn took her to the rescue on Little Black. Xiao Hei was tired and didn't rest for a moment, reaching its limit; Cogburn stabbed it with a knife, trying to make it last longer. Although it was a bit cruel, it was just a sacrificial service to save the girl. This is a kind of urgent matter, and it has never happened in reality, too many cannon fodder, although not dead, but also paid a lot, its value may not be as good as Xiao Hei.
In fact, it can be seen from the back that people like Chaney are the biggest enemy to Mattie, but they are ranked at the bottom of the entire police station list; Chaney's role in the team can also be seen, he is actually only in the entire team. It's just a pawn, so how can the entire gang or bandits be subdued, just relying on courage? Maybe that's what the crew wanted to tell us...
