being or becoming

When I first saw the title of "Puppet Life," I didn't realize I was watching a movie I'd wanted to catch a glimpse of before: Becoming John Markovich. It was not until the middle of the film that I suddenly realized and corrected my cognition based on the English title.
It turns out that this is the legendary "Becoming John Markovich".
That's how it turned out to be John Markovich.
I have to say the plot is quite engaging, whether it's the first 20 minutes about an underappreciated puppeteer, or the interesting seventh and a half floors, or Lester who feels like a weird uncle. Sir, it made me gradually realize that this movie is not something to watch for entertainment.

This is a surreal work. The protagonist of the movie discovers a strange passage. This passage can lead them to the brain of a famous movie actor...and thus a wonderful story unfolds.
In fact, it is not surprising that living in other people's brains is probably the wish that many of us secretly want to achieve. You want to get to know a person, to know a person, so as to fulfill your personal interests and hobbies. If you put it into the category of love, this desire is particularly strong. Although there are some vague things about the plot of this movie that can't be justified or explained, how human the idea is. In other words, if there is such a chance, you can live in other people's brains, and only fifteen minutes, who would you choose? Or, would you like to?

Just now I was entering other people's "brains", even using other people's Kaixin account to make comments, move cars, buy and sell slaves, and make money. After thinking about it for a while, we know that we have already realized the behavior of entering people's brains, or playing someone through an empty shell carrier. Through virtual space, or through such a symbolic channel, the essence is the same.

It's only at the end of this film that we realize that the director doesn't want you to come to YY for fun, the director has something to say. Is the way that weird uncle and his old friends live forever what everyone wants? How meanly Clay looked at Maxine at last through Emily's pitiful and infatuated eyes. And the pair of gay people who were tinkering with this weird channel actually left me speechless. (I don't know if it's Diaz's acting problem)
Clay, a marginal man who achieved nothing because of puppet shows, and "fake" Markovic who refreshed a new chapter in his artistic career because of puppet shows. Who controls who, who is the master. Or the manipulator or the "puppet" is the real existence, the meaningful survival.
Is Charlie giving us a philosophy test?

  • Craig Schwartz: You don't know how lucky you are being a monkey. Because consciousness is a terrible curse. I think. I feel. I suffer. And all I ask in return is the opportunity to do my work. And they won't allow it... because I raise issues.

  • John Malkovich: Ma-Sheen!

    Charlie: Malcatraz!
