A big part of what makes this movie so addicting is that I chalk it up to being humorous, real life, without being rhetorical, but it's not funny. The screenwriter analyzes the cold and cruel reality of life, spreads it out in front of you, without whitewashing and comfort, and tells you: don't blame me, life is like this. And, when you start to be moved by the gradual thawing and rewarming of the plot in the play, he slaps you suddenly to keep you awake.
Ryne makes a career out of firing people, is single, and flies and travels 300 days a year. He loathes and avoids all personal and family relationships and develops his unique "Knapsack Theory". When he gave a speech, he told the audience that your life is too heavy, because you all keep adding too many preferences and too many responsibilities to it, and eventually it becomes a heavy burden on your shoulders.
