Akira Kurosawa with shadow of militarism

The first movie I watched was "Dream". The part where the ghosts of the invading army walked out of the tunnel in the movie was for the sake of militarism. The lingering ghost of militarism is vivid and straightforward.
"Seven Samurai" uses several hours of writing throughout the play to justify and beautify militaristic aggression. Although, it is not as direct as , but it has a deep meaning. I don't want to say more specifically. I don't know how many friends can see this. Views can be exchanged.
I express regret and helplessness for the blind admiration of people who only look at the surface but not the essence.
I recommend everyone to watch and think about it.

  • Kambei Shimada: Train yourself, distinguish yourself in war... But time flies. Before your dream materializes, you get gray hair. By that time your parents and friends are dead and gone.

  • Woman Farmer: Is there no god to protect us? Land tax, forced labor, war, drought and now bandits! The gods want us farmers dead!
