For three and a half hours, the first third of the time is about the process of summoning the Seven Samurai. The origin is that the peasants of the village could not bear the plundering of the bandits. They wanted to hire some warriors to fight the bandits. The villagers could only afford three. Meal of white rice, so the gathering of these seven samurai is mainly due to the benevolence and desire of the heart. The middle third of the time is describing the process of the warriors and the villagers getting along and deploying defenses. The director portrays the villagers' suspicion and fear of the warriors, their doubts, and their cowardly cooperation very realistically. The last third of the bandits attacked, and the warriors led the villagers to resist. Three of the episodes were impressive:
1. The elders of the village stubbornly refused to leave their old house, and their sons and daughters-in-law hugged their grandsons to persuade them. The thief set fire to the house. Except for the grandson who was sent out by his daughter-in-law who endured a stab wound, all three died in the freight yard. There is nothing wrong with sticking to their beliefs. Should people continue to persevere?
2. Katsushiro and the village girl Shino, who are the good looks in the samurai, had an affair on the eve of the decisive battle. They were discovered by Shino's father. Shino's father scolded Shino for being a slut as shameless, and murmured how the peasant's daughter could be in trouble with the samurai. At the same time, Katsushiro bowed his head and did not dare to stand beside him. Villager Liji thought that his wife was kidnapped by bandits, and later met because of the arson incident, but committed suicide because he had no face to face. Bandit adultery! Shino's father was silent, and the crowd gradually dispersed. ——The villagers' judgment on morality, the fact that the social class is strict, and the truth of human nature are all reflected. Ironically, at the end, when Katsushiro saw Shino wanting to talk to her, Shino glanced and turned away, joining the peasants' rice-planting team.
3. On the eve of the decisive battle, the samurai and the villagers are resting. The villagers brought wine and meat to the samurai. Just like Kikuchiyo, who is a funny person in the samurai, said, these villagers are too cunning. They say that there is no rice and no meat, but in fact they have everything.
The bandits were finally eliminated, but only three of the seven samurai survived. They stood in front of the graves of the four dead samurai, looking at the peasants who were immersed in the joy of victory and singing and planting rice, the samurai boss said solemnly. : We still lost, the victory belongs to their peasants. ——This sentence seems to be a sigh. Is it the boss who thinks that fighting this battle for these farmers is not worth it? do not know. Is it to show that warriors and peasants are still two classes in the end, neither of which can get into the other? Maybe.
