WALL-E and Thunderbolt Five

When I watched the trailer for WALL-E, the first thing that flashed in my mind was the one in "Short Circuit" as a child who could read and be naughty, but would also say "Beautiful!" to butterflies and fallen leaves. Robot No. 5, looks surprisingly similar, and the sound is prolonged and tuned exactly the same. I have almost determined that the creator of WALL-E must have seen "Thunderbolt 5"!
