One is the middle class who is unsmiling and full of poker faces.
And there's a street jerk who will die if he doesn't do it, and who's marijuana above all else.
Can't love any of them at all.
There is no way for the movie to establish the good will of the characters, and there is no way for the audience to like them. If the audience doesn't like them, there's no way to care, care about what they do.
Even if the movie's premise "a man will go home to catch up with his wife's first birth" is very strong, and the setting of "can only drive after being banned from flying" is more reasonable, but the characters can't stand up at all.
Especially the dead fat man. It caused Downey to be on the no-fly list, provoked the relationship between Downey and his old friend and wife, accidentally wounded him with a pistol, drove him to sleep and injured him, and cut his baby's umbilical cord on his own initiative. I'm just wondering, how did these two form a friendship? How did the class feeling arise?

Writing a "Stranger's Road Comedy" is really hard.
The character settings of buddy road trip comedy are mainly divided into the following types.
A person. "Road comedy + adventure/adventure". This type of person has only seen Zhao Benshan's "Falling Leaves Returning to the Roots". Along the way is simply a Chinese style painting. If this type is to be established, it must have a strong promise, a very lovable protagonist, and a very strange but typical character along the way.
Two good friends. "Road Comedy + Growth/Healing". One of the best written of road comedies, and one of the most popular with audiences. Good friends for life, laughing and scolding all the way. The relationship between two people has ups and downs, ups and downs, even if they quarrel, they will reconcile and eventually grow together. Similar to "Heart Flower Road Fang".
Two good friends + strangers. "Road Comedy + Help". I've only seen Paul the Alien so far. In this type, a good friend needs to help a stranger complete a task, or a stranger forcibly intervenes between friends and helps them solve a stubborn ailment in a friendship by accident. The chemistry of the three people will be beautiful when written.
One male and one female. "Road comedy + love", if either this man and a woman fell in love, or this man and woman helped each other out of the emotional haze and regained the ability to love. There's a movie from America and a movie from India but I can't remember it hahaha.
A bunch of buddies. "Road Comedy + Sex". Similar to "The Hangover", "The Wilderness". What do a bunch of guys talk about together? Of course sex and women! Generally speaking, the bottom line of this kind of movie is lower than that of ordinary road comedies. After all, a bunch of big guys are together, even if the hormones are not overflowing with male hormones, they should pretend to be compared, after all, right? But it's not easy to write, and group dramas are really not easy to write.
Two strangers. Similar to this movie...the most written road comedy. In just 100 minutes, I want to write two total strangers as best friends in my life, "You will be my child's godfather, and I will be your emergency contact." What a violent chemical reaction.
So the film was totally screwed up. spread hands.
