Mulholland Drive--This Movie Made Me Panic

David Lynch freaked me out. It was the first time I had no clue after watching a movie. Judging from various test results, my logic level is not so low, so I immediately looked for plot clues on the Internet.

Later, when I learned that the first two-thirds of the movie were just a dream, I suddenly realized that this movie was, in fact, the more sensible people would watch it, the more confusing it would be. If you try to explain the doubts of the first two thirds with the second third of the plot, you lose. This can be seen as two separate stories, but the faces are the same, the names are the same, and they cannot be matched.

If you watch this movie with logical reasoning, you will definitely be disappointed, like me. But I can't say whether the film is good or not. I can only say that I am not used to the director's thinking. Maybe we really watch too many movies that make sense, so we can't accept the sudden chaotic dream, just like we can't accept that the world of robot cats that has accompanied us for more than ten years is just a schizophrenic fantasy.

Although I don't like this film much, I thought about it in bed and found that Mr. Lynch has a very NB, which is his construction of dreams. The room of the movie oligarch is dominated by crimson, with only one light source casting light; the mysterious old man sits motionless in his wheelchair; at the end of the dirty backstreet is a small theater; the man on the stage is talking nervously, and then bizarrely. The performance kicked off. Although I never had the same dream, this grotesque sense of dissonance occurs in every nightmare, such as waking up in a bed in a wet public toilet, which is very uncomfortable. So there is a subtle resonance with the film.

Well, I still like movies with a clear main line.

I don’t believe how many people can fully understand the director’s intentions without looking at the film reviews. Although the analytic narrative of this kind of dream is quite creative and tasteful, it still seems mysterious and makes the audience’s energy focused on understanding. The meaning of the film's plot then ignores the discussion of deeper connotations...

It’s really awesome to understand Inception
