the end of the screening, I finally understood that I was looking for actor Dan Su. Denzel Washington was a wise decision. Although it is a bit procrastinated on the whole, the plot is rich but not the climax, but the most exciting turning point turned out to be at the end, and the protagonist's long-term self-deception bubble finally burst, which requires experienced and good actors to perform at that level.

"Flight" is the story of how a strong man is defeated by himself and a gospel movie about God looking for man. The protagonist, Whip, is both a hero and a sinner: he is a pilot and an alcoholic and drug addict, but he is full of confidence and insists that he chooses to use alcohol and drugs, not to be controlled by them. The first climax appeared shortly after the movie opened: Whip's plane lost control and crashed. When everyone panicked, he still made a calm and decisive emergency landing, saving the lives of most of the people on board. But this climax is the beginning of the story. He is regarded as a hero by all walks of life, but he is found to have excessive alcohol and drugs in his body. This raises an ethical dilemma in the first place: is he a sinner or a hero? According to the "deontological" approach, he took drugs and alcohol like this, violated professional ethics, and ignored the safety of others. He was not under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and even played a superhuman performance to save everyone. And in the subsequent simulation test, the pilots who encountered the same situation were unable to recover, and all the passengers were killed - so Whip's drinking and drug use were just personal behaviors and did not affect the well-being of others. He is a "superman" who can control alcohol and drugs on the one hand, and calm, decisive and creative on the other.

Interestingly, in the first half of the movie, the protagonist's strength is first affirmed, reaching the peak, and then he gradually describes his fragility, just like he was driving the flight - first climbed rapidly, passed through thunderstorms, straddled above the clouds, almost Take the momentum of the sun directly; then, like Icarus in Greek mythology, because he flew too close to the sun, his wax wings melted and fell rapidly. I thought it was about ethical contradictions (because it turned out that Whip was indeed a hero, and his extraordinary abilities seemed to surpass the limitations of professional codes), and a drama with judicial investigation and interrogation as the main body, who expected it to be a false move, every time a lawyer appeared They just reported "what else is there - I solved it", and swept away the process of investigation and evidence collection, so that at the final hearing, all the evidence against Whip did not exist, as long as he followed the lawyer's "professionalism". "The way to respond to the other party's questioning can make the rain over the sky.

At this point, the audience may have felt impatient after seeing so many false tricks. But it was only at this point that the drama came out - the real "climb-fall" was arranged when Whip and his lawyers were on the safe side - he could get away with just a few more lies, and he himself was a frequent liar. Zero difficulty. However, it was because he lied too much that he finally reached his limit. In fact, he is not a strong man. The investigation and hearing are not the main line of the story at all, they are just fishing lines; the main line is that Whip meets Nicole, a woman floating in the poisonous sea. She doesn't think Whip is that strong. She wanted Whip to join her in self-rehabilitation and stop kidding herself. Whip both loves her and resists, because he doesn't want to face the fact that "he is fundamentally vulnerable", drinking is more fierce, and the ugly appearance in front of the audience shows that he can't control himself. Traces of faith have been passing by in the process. For example, a surviving flight attendant on the plane was a Baptist; the co-pilot, who was disabled for life after the accident, was also a devout believer. After accusing Whip sternly, he invited him to pray together; Combined with the fact that the plane crashed into the spire of a Pentecostal church when it landed - these references to the "Bible Belt" in the American South elicited laughter from some in the audience and seemed to make Christianity a laughing stock. These swollen and swollen branches turned out to be spread to the end, showing the spiritual light of comprehending faith in the human world. It is probably difficult to avoid the tedious and lengthy process. Two wine bottles were found on the crashed plane. Whip could have blamed a flight attendant - she was his lover who drank before, but died in an accident - just another lie, but Whip finally couldn't bear it: "God Ah, help me." In this scene, the close-up shot made Dansu. Washington's deep struggle emerges from its shell. He relied on man to escape his sins, but only God can confess his sins! He finally confessed to drinking, drugs, giving false testimony -- he knew it meant prison, but it was in prison that his soul really took off.

I can't help but think that if you want to pray for those in power, ask God to help those in power who are full of lies to confess their sins and repent!

Disaster movies can only come out after they talk about the disaster... Although the ending has a bit of the main theme, the whole movie is still good!

A movie that belongs to Denzel Washington alone. It's a bit more preaching.

  • Gaunt Young Man: Do I scare you? People are either drawn to me, or they pretend like they can't see me. It's a trip. They think because I'm close to the other side, I got some sort of power or wisdom.
