I think few Western directors deal with emotional scenes in such a large space. From the beginning to the end, emotional clues have been deposited in the flowing river and natural scenery.
Is it because the material has been combined by the Oriental director to achieve an extremely sensational effect? If a Western director chooses the same material in the same theme? At least the rhythm will be different.
It can be said that this film is a gay version of the bridge's last dream, but the bridge's last dream from novels to movies makes me feel contrived and ridiculous.
That's the difference.
Apart from the fact that I personally don't like gay men, just from the point of view of the movie, this film is very powerful.
