gorgeous movie

Gorgeous shots and graphics, great story, solid characters, I like the first part more than the second half.
Despite the hormonal explosion, the disregarded revenge is very attractive, but for the plot, it is ill-considered. After Chris forced Peeta's father to commit suicide with guilt, if Peeta's mother also committed suicide, what would Peeta do when she was still in the world? In fact, I feel that the gorgeous narrative in the first half is Hollywood-style, and the emotion in the second half is Woo-style, but the problem is that it is not as provocative as Wu-style, making people unable to throw away the obstacles of the fate of the characters, and unable to integrate into Chris' revenge plan .
The director seems to be somewhat restrained in shaping Chris into an invincible hero, letting him leave quietly after completing the mission of redemption. But he also likes to exaggerate Chris's murderous art, and this earth-shattering killing in Mexico did not allow him to attract the police to chase and beat him. This is really an ideal world.
Tony Scott has a very good characteristic, he doesn't like superfluous, and the end of the story is always clean and beautiful. He didn't design any scene of Peeta's memory of Chris, and to make a sensational tear, he told you very succinctly, Chris died, the big bad guy was killed, and the story was over. I really like his crispness, like telling you, I'm making a fucking commercial, cool.

Man on Fire quotes

  • Fuentes: [with both his hands tied to the hood of the car] You know, I-I'm a professional.

Creasy: That's what everybody keeps saying. "I'm just a professional". Everybody keeps saying that to me. "I'm just a professional", "I'm just a professional". I'm getting sick and tired of hearing that.

  • Manzano: Mariana?

    Mariana: Sí.

Manzano: When do I get to sleep with you again?

Mariana: We never sleep. We fuck.
