The psychedelic colors of the Middle Ages are vividly expressed by the director. Ancient legends, the witch's curse, iron virgin torture, tree coffins where the dead are buried, innocent maidens and eccentric detectives. Everything is told slowly in Tim's story.
Just like a cruel and bloody fairy tale, using ancient legends as the background, using beautiful girls as sacrifices, in the silent forest, paving the way with blood, guiding the curious us to pursue the final ending.
In addition, in this film, Tim made Johnyy Depp's classic and modern face, which made people simply addicted. The only pity is that I always feel that Christina Ricci and Johnyy Depp are not on the phone. Whether it is this film or The Man Who Cried, there is a strange sense of inconsistency.
But in general, the picture of the movie is quite gorgeous, every detail is handled very well, and the performance of the actors is impeccable. It's a good movie!
