In one day, I finished reading "Hotel Rwanda". Why does such a movie exist? More terrifying than a horror movie, more terrifying to me than a thriller. Well, what I am afraid of is not the bloody massacre scenes, nor the destruction of survival and morality, but the naked trampling of human nature and life. Perhaps "trample" should not be used, because there is no life in their eyes.

The following is the official plot synopsis:
On April 6, 1994, a plane carrying Rwandan Hutu President Habyarimana and Burundi President was shot down by a rocket over Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, killing both heads of state at the same time. . On April 7, the air crash in Rwanda immediately aroused mutual suspicion between the Hutu and Tutsi ethnic groups, and an unprecedented scale of armed conflict and tribal genocide broke out. The human tragedy that shocked the world began. ... the massacre was also instigated by the radio stations controlled by the Hutu racists, who chanted "let all the stagnation burst out... at a moment like this, the blood will pour out", out of control The smell of blood filled the air as the crowd searched and killed the Tutsi under a runaway media call.
When a country is in a frenzy and the world shuts its eyes, a hotel manager named Paul Luce Sebergina (Don Cheadle), who runs a local restaurant, opens his arms warmly. The Miller Collins Hotel, which attracts European tourists and military dignitaries, takes good care of the hotel guests with all the relationships and cares of the hotel. Paul is a Hutu, while his wife Tatiana (Sophie O'Connedo) is a Tutsi, and for him, protecting his Tutsi relatives in turbulent times Being with friends has become the biggest mission and challenge in my life. The inaction of the UN peacekeeping force and the isolation from the world media made Paul and his wife and the 1,268 local residents who took refuge in the hotel firmer their confidence and courage to live. action." The situation became more and more serious, and about 1 million people died in a hundred days, but the Miller Collins Hotel has become an oasis of life in the bloodthirsty desert. The belief in the power of the West and the maintenance of world order and world peace has penetrated into every vein of Paul. He has always believed that relying on the United Nations led by the United States and Western European countries can achieve peace in Rwanda, at least those white friends are in need. time to help him. But in a series of events after the outbreak of the war, all hope was in vain. Years of operation can only be exchanged for a continuation of life, and finally they were forced to leave their homes.

Nice story, it's a true story, but I always find it kind of blunt.
When I first came on stage, I thought Paul was a selfish, slick, mercenary businessman who still had some bright sides. He complied in front of Western dignitaries, juggled between Hutu warlord generals, whites and forces of all parties, covered his Tutsi driver when the riots came, suppressed his restless wife in the middle of the night, and watched his pictures. The West Neighbor was taken away... Just such a person, when the world betrayed him, he opened his already weak arms to protect those who had nothing to do with him.
Sometimes I wonder, what was the force that prompted him to do this? If he leaves the others and leaves with only his family of four, he can definitely do it with his network of connections. In such a critical situation, if you are numb enough, your conscience will not have the slightest uneasiness. What could be more important than protecting a dear family member? So what prompted him to make such a decision? I don't understand, I really don't understand... It's this ignorance that drives me to read on. Can this be called greatness, for me, it is already. Greatness is not a simple word to be praised, but a respect for human nature - unfortunately, I still believe in human nature.
Paul is such a legend, those little details in the movie still make me shudder to this day.
The United Nations peacekeeping general told Paul, "You are the smartest person here, but in their eyes, you are not even a black man, you are just an African native! ... In their eyes, you are not even a vote! "Just because this is Rwanda, there is no oil, no gold, no straits, so Rwanda can only choose to be abandoned. In the face of such a fact, all the slogans of democratic harmony become empty and powerless. democracy? Peacekeeping? World Military Police? It's just a political joke.
A European photojournalist caught up with a local Tutsi girl. As he was leaving, the girl cried and begged him to save him, but he just shoved stacks of francs, which looked like waste paper, into her arms. This reporter is actually a positive character, at least he really wants to help the Rwandan people, and he desperately took pictures of the genocide. However, at the critical juncture of his life, what he chose was still selfish escape. But what can we say? If it was at that time, would you and I choose if? He was not wrong, and Paul's conviction was not wrong, so who was wrong?
On the day of the evacuation, it was raining heavily. When the photographer walked towards the bus, the waiter in the hotel was holding an umbrella for him. He kept saying that he didn't want the waiter, but insisted, because even then, they still insisted on their profession— The star service of a high-end hotel, the reporter can't feel ashamed, can only say the word ashamed. Westerners brainwash the locals, telling them what taste is and what service is, but they don't tell the locals how to revitalize their own nation. This is what I "copy-pasted" from a netizen's blog. When I saw this passage, I just felt stunned. In front of life, everything I had learned before suddenly became pale and powerless, as if I was just a clown who didn't know anything.
We are all clowns because our humanity has been wiped out in Rwanda.
End Rwanda.
Rwanda, it's all over.

The African version of "Schindler's List", the bloody poison will not let the warm heart. When the individual is forgotten by the world, a person’s conscience is peace.

The most beautiful ending song I have ever heard, a story of humanity that shocks the soul. May the truth and good endure forever, and the suffering and evil away from everyone
