boy running towards time

A boy is a child who runs towards time.
Instead of bemoaning how short life is, cry out to live in the moment.
This is juvenile optimism. It's by nature.
The young man has not really reached the fork in his life, his body has the most abundant energy, he is willing to try everything new, and he does not need to pay a heavy price.
Adolescence is green grass. There are worries, there are doubts, there are times when you can’t understand the world of adults, and there are struggles to become like adults, but these are just passing by.
Teenagers try to catch up with time, they only have one wish: grow up quickly.
Watching a teenager grow up in a movie is a wonderful and unique experience. It's like your friend's mother opens the albums in the bookcase, and tells you the stories of your friends from childhood to the present one by one. You look at the people you thought you were familiar with, those times that you may have never participated in, and then you Think back to yourself.
At that time, I was young and ignorant, and it was easy to be kneaded by the finer points of life, but it was full of power at that time. This power has not passed through your body for a long time.
Time in our delusional pursuit is constantly passing through our bodies.
"People always say like: 'seize the moment.'But I think it's the other way round, the moment seizes us."

mlgb! Watching a movie in Berlin! I am jealous of you! The movie-watching experience is even better than last year's Adele! What is a movie? Is it poetry? Is it a song? Back to the essence, isn't the film just a carrier for recording time? Richard Linklater used it for 12 years, just like this babbling, just like this, and it's just like this, and it's all the most essential charm of the movie. In just three hours, he experienced a person's entire youth. 10/10!

Boyhood quotes

  • Dad: [frustrated with the monosyllabic answers Mason Jr. and Samantha are giving him] No, no, no. I'm not gonna be *that* guy. You know, the "biological father, who I see on the weekends, and I make small talk with him while he drives me places and buys me shit." No.

Samantha: Dad, these questions are kind of hard to answer.

Dad: What's so hard to answer about "what sculpture are you making"?

    Samantha: It's abstract!

  • Dad: Is she cute?

    Mason: Yeah.

Dad: All right, well, here's what you do, all right, first off you gotta ask a girl a lot of questions, then you have to listen to the answers, actually be interested in her, all right, If you can do those things, you'll be light years ahead of all the other guys.
