To be honest, my feeling about Men in Black 2 is relatively general. And Mr. Thanos, who played in place of old K, added a completely different flavor to the role of K with his appearance similar to Tommy Lee Jones.
J has completely gotten rid of the image of the stupefied boy in Part 1-2. Facing the ignorant Thanos K, J actually assumed the leadership role of the two-person team in this work. And in the process of tracking the BOSS, he played a leading role. The B/S method of the final boss battle is really a stroke of genius. I think that the fierce and brave J can come up with this method to overcome the enemy and win.
Although K is essentially equivalent to a substitution, the basis of the relationship between J and K has not changed in the slightest. Personally, Thanos K has restored our expected image of young K very well. The cooperation model between him and J 30 years ago is no different from the inherent setting of the film. I think the design of the Boss and the key aliens in this film is the biggest highlight. It is no exaggeration to say that Boris is definitely the most powerful alien in the Men in Black series. He has ideas and strategies (he knows to start destroying everything that exists from the future), he has strength (little bugs are invincible), and he is cruel and bloodthirsty. The final decisive battle was heart-wrenching, and it was closely linked to the background of the US landing on the moon. The appearance of J's father and little J in the film also made the whole reincarnation complete, and also better consolidated the bond between J and K from the dimension of time. Personally, I think this setting is actually a bit lame, but I like it very much. This is a trilogy of black clothes for J and K, and it draws a happy ending.
PS: 1. The iron law of the man in black, no matter how awesome the bug, is always killed by one shot; 2. Do not watch this film according to the time and space logic of Back to the Future. In the film, time-travel is a Tools, any theory of time and space reversal, are untenable in this film.
