"The Resurrection of Jesus" is an altarpiece painted by Raphael at the invitation of Cardinal Giulio Medici for the church of Narbonne, France, and it is also the last masterpiece of Raphael before his death. The content is taken from the Gospel of Matthew: Jesus took Peter, James, and John to a high mountain secretly, and suddenly he was transformed in front of them, his face was bright as the sun, and his clothes were white as light. Suddenly Moses and Elijah appeared to them and spoke to Jesus. Now in the National Gallery, London.

The wife turns crazy and becomes too abrupt. The reversal plot after someone commits suicide is a bit cliché, but the last scene has another surprise. Anyway, good and evil are the choices of human beings. If you recognize it, why bother to rely on the devil?

This is a religious film, and religious films that jump out of religion are not convincing to atheists.

The Devil's Advocate quotes

  • John Milton: Are we negotiating?

    Kevin Lomax: Always.

  • John Milton: Let me give you a little inside information about God. God likes to watch. He's a prankster. Think about it. He gives man instincts. He gives you this extraordinary gift, and then what does He do, I swear for His own amusement, his own private, cosmic gag reel, He sets the rules in opposition. It's the goof of all time. Look but don't touch. Touch, but don't taste. Taste, don't swallow. Ahaha. And while you're jumpin' from one foot to the next, what is he doing? He's laughin' His sick, fuckin' ass off! He's a tight-ass! He's a SADIST! He's an absentee landlord! Worship that? NEVER!
