Comedy is harder than tragedy

"YES MAN", translated into "Mr. Good", Jim Carrey's film, will never lose its standard. Comedy is actually more difficult than tragedy. And great comedians are always lonely and silent in their lives. Jin is like this, Zhou Xingchi is like this.

Jim Carrey always performed those physical comedies, which seemed superficial, but after all these years, we know that he is a man of ideas, and his films are always contributing extraordinary ideas. No matter "The Man on the Moon" or "The Truman World". Those thoughts let me know that every random thought is the common confusion of human beings. All have value.

The new movie, if it is said to be B-point, is really nothing special, but it is really good-looking and very comfortable to watch. It is a standard Hollywood work, and it is easy and pleasant to tell a truth: people should not refuse easily. This principle is still valuable.

In the past, we despised the traditional way of narrative and always wanted to tell a new structure. Over the years, I suddenly discovered that the pursuit of structure has made us lose our ability to tell stories. Watching domestic films, I always feel that the storytelling is full of flaws. It is not a big problem if there are flaws. Or it's broken. It's really a slander against the normal intelligence of the audience. Later, I discovered that such mentally handicapped films continue to have good box office, and I probably know that most people nowadays do not actually have normal IQ.

So when I returned to the traditional film narrative, I found that I was not only happy, but moved, and I found that I could still be quietly immersed in a certain plot, even though I knew that his ending would not surprise me.
