The Equaliser

The movie started off pretty boring, and I kinda wish it stayed that way. My expectation rose when Chloe Moretz showed up, and was waiting for some kind of mind-blowing performance, but she just disappeared right after. What was left was a meaningless , hollow story filled with cliche moments. Denzel Washington is the typical motionless, cool self and the movie never really rises to the occasion. People in the seats laughed, but not at any jokes, but at just how dumb some of the lines and plots were.

    1. The character is supreme, the plot serves the characters, undoubtedly the character creation is very successful, but the plot is slightly weak; 2. The rhythm and lighting are just like Du Qifeng made a "Desperate Driving"; 3. Don't make a sequel, one That’s enough.

…The rhythm is pretty good, no nonsense; originally I thought the villain was weak, but an old man traveled far and wide to the U.S. and ran wild in the most familiar place. It’s a good idea to be able to persist for so long. The male protagonist is silent, calm, and methodical, and good at drawing on the spot. What is commendable is that he only wants to live a peaceful life but does not turn a blind eye to the suffering of others. It's just a model of the agent in my heart

The Equalizer quotes

  • Robert McCall: [Detective Gilly picks up his cell phone] Why waste city services when I got two corrupt cops right in front of me?

    Detective Gilly: It's that guy.

    Detective Harris: This fucking guy?

  • Robert McCall: [voiceover] Tomorrow you'll have returned all the money you extorted from those people. You'll tell them it will never happen again. Do that, and this video will never be seen... Don't, and a half an hour later you'll watch the uncut version on every news outlet in the area. Now I'm offering you a chance to do the right thing. Take it.

Detective Harris: That fucking hurt more than the beating.
