McCall is a retired American special forces soldier. Tired of the dark and bloody cruel life, McCall chose to live in seclusion in Boston, where he worked in a supermarket and lived a life he liked. One day, a robber came to the front desk of the supermarket and robbed the front desk cashier and the cashier's ring. The female cashier was very sad. McCall wrote down the license plate and went out with a hammer. The next day the cashier was cashier. The officer discovered that his ring had been lost and found.

McCall usually likes to read and drink in coffee shops. Here he met Terry, a young prostitute who was controlled by Russian gangsters. Terry entertained clients he didn't like every night, and sometimes was beaten. One day Terry was injured by his boss and was hospitalized. McCall learned that he had visited Terry in the hospital and secretly resolved to help the girl get justice. In the evening, McCall came to the ballroom where Terry was, and killed all the people in the entire room in the boss room, leaving no trace. The Russian gangsters naturally quit, and the big boss above suspected that the opponent did it, and ordered the able-bodied Chekov (let's call it Chekov) to quickly find out the truth, otherwise people would be shaken. Chekov traced it all the way, found Terry's friend, and learned of McCall's existence.

Chekov sent his men to attack McCall again and again without success, and McCall was in deep crisis. So McCall found his old friend and found out who the gang boss was. He came to the boss's house and destroyed his factory and drug processing site. The boss was furious. Chekov and McCall were the ultimate matchup, and of course McCall won.

The Equalizer quotes

  • Robert McCall: I don't have a lot of time. Which means you don't have any.

  • Teddy: When you look at me, what do you see.

Robert McCall: [chuckles, shifts in his seat]

Teddy: The answer's nothing. I have no feeling about you one way or the other. You're like... like lint or a bottle cap. You're just a thing to remove.
