Worst scared ever

Once there is a "definite presence" in a horror movie, whether it's a ghost or a murderer, I lose interest all of a sudden. Because the rest is nothing more than seeing people slowly being killed or slowly saving themselves, and existence can be eliminated when it is born. In short, as long as I determine what is wrong, I feel that it has nothing to do with me, and I am no longer afraid. The process of revealing the secret of this film was extremely slow, and it was not until the last moment that I learned whether it was a human being or a ghost that scared me. The most worthy of showing and writing is always the unknown itself, because that is the source of human fear. Maintaining the unknown state of the murderous thing, all the sounds in the film, every character, every door that is not opened, every invisible space, every ray of light and every cluster of breaths, are enough to be frightening. Perhaps the horror movies I watched before were too stereotyped, and almost every horror point could be judged through the lens. And as the plot develops, I'm fully aware of what's going to pop up. And this time, there is no real "villain" at all. During the viewing process, I never knew if anything would appear, I didn't know the meaning behind each phenomenon, the radar failed, and instead I met Nicole. Kidman was fully empathetic, half scared to death. So even though this film may not be the best horror movie I've ever seen in terms of sheer scary technique and atmosphere, it's still the worst I've ever been terrified of. Although the biggest highlight of the whole film may be the perspective it chooses, but the corresponding background setting, that is, Nicole and the others can sometimes feel the existence of The Others, sometimes not, and as the protagonist Nicole Kidman, herself There is also no idea of what happened. These two points make the film unintentionally capture the "unknown itself". What shocked me even more was that the ending could still be attributed to warmth. If ghosts are all human-changed, then naturally a large part of them can also preserve human conscience.

For a dispute between people and ghosts about housing property rights, please refer to Peter Jackson's "Supernatural Powers and Ghosts". The idea is a bit like Da Liu's [Spherical Lightning], which has more space than [Sixth Sense]. Suspense is the same routine. The roles of Kidman and Willis are of the same type, so I guessed the ending early. Kidman's acting skills have always been good, maintaining a standard, but it seems that he hasn't improved much for so many years.

The Others quotes

  • Charles: I just came home to say goodbye to my wife and children.

    Grace: Where are you going?

    Charles: To the front.

Grace: I thought the war was over.

Charles: The war is not over.

Grace: You're not going. You left us once already. YOU CAN'T GO! Why did you go and fight that stupid war that had NOTHING TO DO WITH US? Why didn't you stay like the others did?

    Charles: The others surrendered.

Grace: We are all surrendered, what did you expect? What were you trying to prove by going to war? Your place was here with your family. I loved you, but that wasn't enough, was it? You want to leave not because of the war, you want to leave me, remember when you told me "I know a place where no one can bother our children when they are playing"?

  • Grace: My husband went to war and did not come back. Who will do the cooking?

    Mrs. Mills: I'm sorry, miss.

Grace: Who will do the cooking?
